AsureQuality can assist you to meet allergen labelling requirements, as set by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
In February 2024 new requirements for allergen labelling come into force as set out in Standard 1.2.3 and Schedule 9 of the Food Standards Code. These changes help people find allergen information on food labels more quickly and easily and allow them to make safe food choices.
The following tests are performed by AsureQuality's Natural Toxin Laboratory in Auckland.

LOQ = Limit of Quantification
Matrix
Allergen tests (apart from Gluten Competitive) can be performed on food, ingredients / raw materials and swabs.
*The Gluten Competitive Test (NT-GLTN02) is specific for testing fermented and hydrolysed products (including beer, starch, malt extract, sourdough, soy sauce).
Mycotoxin Test Matrices are specified in the table above.
A dedicated swab-only variation is now available for allergen tests submitted as swab samples. Please select the swab-only variation when registering swab samples.
Reporting
**Egg Allergen is reported as Whole Egg Powder unless otherwise requested.
*** Coconut is not part of the tree nut allergen list by FSANZ, but it is part of USFDA.
Foods and ingredients / raw materials are reported as quantitative unless otherwise requested.
Swab samples must be submitted using the relevant swab-only allergen test variation where available.
Swab results are generally reported qualitatively as detected / not detected unless otherwise agreed.
