AsureQuality is introducing DX-PAHS10, a fully validated and accredited method for the determination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH4) in edible oils and edible oil capsules.

The current non-routine method DX_MDUT02 02-PAH4_EDIBLE_OIL will be replaced by DX-PAHS10. Validation of DX-PAHS10 extends accreditation to edible oils and edible oil capsules, allowing customers to receive accredited results for PAH analysis. 

What does this mean for you?

The scope of testing remains unchanged.

You'll continue to receive the same PAH4 testing for edible oils and edible oil capsules, with testing provided under a fully validated and accredited method.

When will the method change?

DX-PAHS10 is planned for implementation on 1 January 2027.

The existing DX_MDUT02 02-PAH4_EDIBLE_OIL method is planned to be deactivated on 1 March 2027, providing a transition period for customers to make any required updates.

What do you need to do?

Following implementation, please review your specifications, documentation, contracts, interfaces and system settings, and update any references from DX_MDUT02 02-PAH4_EDIBLE_OIL to DX-PAHS10, where applicable.
