An overview of the sample testing process in our Food and Pharmaceutical Laboratory in Auckland and our Food Laboratory in Christchurch.

If you've never used AsureQuality's laboratory testing services before, you will first need to open an account with us, or pre-pay for your testing. If you need a quote please get in touch.

1. Order your tests online through the LabConnect portal or complete a manual submission form.

• Pre-register your samples in LabConnect or contact us before delivering your samples. Pre-registering your samples in LabConnect helps to streamline the testing process and ensure there are no delays when your samples reach the laboratory. Alternatively you can complete a manual submission form which should accompany your sample. Select the appropriate submission form for the laboratory location. 

2. Transport your samples

• You can send us your samples in the same form and packaging as they are supplied to the consumer. Swabs for environmental testing may be ordered from our range of laboratory consumables.  
• Either arrange your own transportation for your samples or talk to our team about our sample collection service (currently only available in the North Island for our Auckland Food Laboratory). Make sure your samples are held at the appropriate temperature during transportation.

3. Sample registration

• When your sample arrives at the laboratory, it is recorded in our laboratory information management system (LIMS), then delivered to the appropriate laboratory department/s. You‘ll  be able to view the progress of your samples via LabConnect.

4. Sample preparation and laboratory analysis

• Your sample is prepared for testing, and laboratory analysis is carried out in accordance with your requirements. This can take two to seven days, depending on your sample type and testing requirements. 

5. Results available 

• As testing is completed, results are made available in LabConnect. Once all results are verified, a certificate of analysis (COA) is issued and sent to all recipients identified on your organisation's distribution list via email and is also made available for download from within LabConnect.
