Potato Cyst Nematode and Potato Wart survey registration
Potato growers who intend to export potatoes may need to register production sites under the Potato Cyst Nematode and Potato Wart Official Assurance Programme.
AsureQuality conducts these surveys for commercial growers as part of the Ministry for Primary Industries export compliance programme.
The survey helps support export certification where importing country requirements include Potato Cyst Nematode, Potato Wart, or other pest freedom assurances.
When to register
Production sites must be registered no later than 21 days after the crop has been planted.
If pre-planting soil testing is required, applications must be submitted before planting commences.
If you are unsure which requirements apply to your crop or export market, please contact us before submitting your application.
What you need to submit
Please complete the export potato registration form and include all required information.
You will also need to provide a property map showing your production site or sites.
The map should clearly show:
- north
- all property entrances and access roads
- the physical address
- relevant landmarks and road names
- each production site, block, or paddock identified separately
- the size or area of each block or paddock in hectares
GPS coordinates for each site must also be completed on the application form.
If additional pest clearances are required for a production site, these should be included on your application so they are not missed. Additional pest clearances may incur additional laboratory charges.
