Obtain a copy of the NZGAP- Global Standard

• You will first need to visit www.nzgap.co.nz for a registration form and access to the NZGAP- Global programme documents including the NZGAP-Global self-assessment checklist.
• Complete the “Registration for NZGAP- Global form and return to NZGAP info@nzgap.co.nz. NZGAP will issue you a NZGAP Registration Number and provide you with the applicable GAP Manuals and supporting documents.
• Once the form has been processed by NZGAP and AsureQuality, an AsureQuality Registration Pack will be forwarded to you.

On – Site Assessment/audit

An AsureQuality auditor will contact you to make an appointment to conduct an on-site audit of your operation, to ensure that every aspect of your operation complies with the NZGAP-Global Standard requirements.

Please note that initial audits must include assessment of the harvest and or produce handling component in the standard.

Submission of audit findings

Following the on-site audit, the AsureQuality auditor will present you with an Interim Site Report on the findings of the audit. The report will include (but may not be confined to) any non-conformance against the NZGAP-Global checklist questions that need to be addressed.

Response to any audit findings/non- conformances

The AsureQuality auditor will set a maximum timeframe for closing any required non-conformances according to the NZGAP-Global Programme requirements and discuss with you, methods to address any required corrective actions- e.g. document update or follow- up site visit.

NZGAP-Global Certification Status issued

When all non-conformances are closed out, a NZGAP-Global Certification Status issued covering the scope of your operation along with a report demonstrating that you have achieved the required compliance to the NZGAP-Global Programme.

Annual review

An annual audit is required to renew your certification status each year. In addition, GLOBALG.A.P. also have an Integrity Programme in place to ensure consistency of GLOBALG.A.P. Accredited Certification Bodies around the world.
